I listened to this via audiobook through my library.
It does make it hard to take notes.
I know this is supposed to be a retelling but I imagine I’m not familiar with the original tale because I can’t tell you what its supposed to retell.
It was a decent story. I didnt feel like I was blown away, or bored to death.
I’d give it 3/5 stars

I think it was supposed to have Beauty and the Beast elements and some Polish folklore I wasnt familiar with either. I had the same reaction. It was good, but I had expected it to be great.
